Thanksgiving for the birth of a child
When a new baby arrives most parents (and grandparents!) want to tell the world how pleased they are. That deep sense of gratitude can be shared by having a 'thanksgiving service'. We usually hold the
thanksgiving at the beginning of one of our normal Sunday 'services'.
It takes about 10 to 15 minutes and includes prayers of thanks and a
chance for you to commit yourself to parenthood asking for God's help. | ![]() |
Here is how it works:
First, contact the minister (see 'Contact us'). He will arrange to come and see you or make an appointment to see you at the church office.
At that meeting He will discuss the form the thanksgiving should take. There is no obligation and you can decide whether to go ahead or not.
Once we have agreed together about the event, a date can be fixed and you can begin inviting friends and family. These occasions are always joyful and meaningful and most people want to share them with others.
